The museum moved to a new building in 1935 as the collections and acquisitions had got so extensive more space was required. The now the museum has a number of exhibition including Anglo-Saxon and Medieval Gallery, Chinese Galleries, Indian Gallery, Islamic Gallery, Japanese Gallery and Textiles Gallery. They also have art from artists including Michaelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo da Vinci and Turner.
